April 19, 2013

PRINCETON, N.J.- Senior All-American Victoria Flowers broke her previous school record in the hammer Friday at Princeton’s Larry Ellis Invite with a toss of 64.78m (212-06) for second place.

“Victoria was at her best,” said head coach Bill Morgan. “She worked through a few long fouls in finals to hit it big on final throw. The adjustments she made during competition really showed her poise and confidence.”

In the 5,000 meter run, Connecticut had two Huskies claim top-five seats with Allison Lasnicki finishing second in 16:25.15 and Lauren Sara took third with a time of 16:29.40.

Brigitte Mania captured sixth in the 800 meter elite run with a mark of 2:07.62.

On the field, Megan Chapman finished fourth in the discus with a mark of 45.02m.
