STORRS, Conn.- UConn women’s track and field senior Ana Groff was named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District team after an outstanding senior year with the Huskies.
“This is a great honor for Ana,” head coach Bill Morgan said. “A true representative of the high standards our team presents as student-athletes.”
The Orlando, Fla. native was part of the distance medley relay team that finished 12th at the Indoor NCAA Championships with a time of 11.25.09 for Second Team All-America honors. The DMR squad claimed the gold at the BIG EAST Championships in 11:06.99. Individually, the biomedical engineer major captured first place in the 500m at the New England Championships in 1:12.96.
Groff is now eligible to be named to the Academic All-America Team. Voting for the national ballot begins on June 4.
