STORRS, Conn. (March 11, 2014) – University of Connecticut head volleyball coach Holly Strauss-O’Brien has resigned from her position. Strauss led the Husky program for the past nine years and originally joined the program in 2003 as a graduate assistant, becoming a full-time assistant the next year before taking over as head coach in 2005. UConn will immediately begin a national search for a new head coach.

Strauss-O’Brien, the 2012 BIG EAST Co-Coach of the Year, compiled a 141-128 record during her nine years in Storrs. She also saw 12 of her charges earn All-Conference honors, including at least one in eight of her nine seasons at the helm.
