STORRS, Conn. -- On Tuesday, University of Connecticut volleyball head coach Kris Grunwald announced the 2015 team schedule. The Huskies' 31-match slate includes 20 American Athletic Conference tilts and 11 non-conference matches that will span over four in-season tournaments.

UConn will enter its third season in The American after putting together a 12-19 campaign in 2014. The squad's schedule features 14 matches at Harry A. Gampel Pavilion, including a pair of regular season tournaments. Seven of the Huskies' 12 wins came on its home court a year ago and the squad owns a 30-24 (.556) mark at Gampel since the start of the 2011 season.

The Huskies will open the 2015 season on August 29-30 when they challenge in-state rival Hartford, as well as URI and Syracuse as part of the 2015 UConn Invite, split between Storrs and Hartford. The following weekend, UConn will welcome UMKC, James Madison, and Bryant to campus for the inaugural Dog Pound Challenge on Sept. 4-5.

Next up, the team heads north to compete against West Virginia and Dartmouth, a pair of teams that UConn holds a combined 19-3 all-time record against, in the Dartmouth Tournament before rounding out regular season tournament action against Harvard, Boston College and Northeastern in the New England Challenge, played in Cambridge, Mass. on Sept. 18-19.

Connecticut heads to Florida on Friday, Sept 25 to kick off conference play against Central Florida and USF and hosts its conference home-opening weekend against Cincinnati and Memphis on Oct. 2-4. After a quick two-match roadtrip to Tulsa (Oct. 9) and SMU (Oct. 11), the Huskies return home to Gampel for a four-match home stand that includes contests with Temple, East Carolina, Tulane and Houston.

After a four-game road stretch that includes stops at Memphis (Oct. 30), Cincinnati (Nov. 1), Houston (Nov. 6) and Tulane (Nov. 8), the team returns to the Nutmeg State for its penultimate home stand where it hosts USF (Nov. 13) and UCF (Nov. 15). After a Wednesday match at Temple, the Huskies finish up the home slate with a pair of matches against SMU (Nov. 20) and Tulsa (Nov. 22).

The team concludes the regular season with a midweek match at ECU on Nov. 25 in Greenville, N.C.
