UConn sports a 17-7 all-time record against the Wildcats; including a 3-1 victory in the teams' last meeting on Sept. 20, 2013 in Hanover, N.H. Devon Maugle (Plymouth Meeting, Pa.) led the attack with a double-double, posting 11 kills to go along with 12 digs. The Wildcats are coming off the program's fourth conference title after finishing 20-13 in 2013, which includes a 12-2 mark in America East play.

The Huskies have enjoyed success against Central in the past, compiling a 22-7 all-time record against their in-state rivals. The two programs last met in the 2007 season with UConn winning in straight sets on Oct. 24. The Blue Devils put together a successful 2013 campaign, advancing to the NEC Championship match en route to a 21-win year.

Indiana and UConn have met just once on the court before, with the Hoosiers coming away with a four-set victory. Last season, Indiana struggled in the Big Ten, posting just a 1-19 conference record and a rounding out the year with a 9-22 overall record.

Earlier this month, UConn was selected to finish sixth in the American Athletic Conference preseason coaches' poll.

Tri-captains Brianna Datti (Durham, N.H.), Maugle and Erika Thomas (Ocoee, Fla.) will look to lead a squad that returns 11 players from last season.
