NEW BRITAIN, Conn.- Emily Durgin led the Huskies in their second place finish on Saturday afternoon at the CCSU Ted Owen Invitational at Stanley Quarter Park. UConn finished with 49 points, ending just behind first-place Boston University (46).
The Huskies had four top-10 finishers, with Durgin leading the pack with a third place finish. Also, rounding out the top-10 for Connecticut was Brigitte Mania (fifth), Abby Mace (sixth) and Emily Howard (ninth).
The Huskies have now posted back-to-back second place finishes, after capturing second in the UMass Invitational last week in Amherst, Mass.
A scoring malfunction during the women's race did not record the official times of the race. However, the places and team scores located in the team results page are accurate.
The Huskies will return to action on October 12th, when they will compete in the New England Championships, held in Boston, Massachusetts.
