NEW BRITAIN, Conn.- Senior Brigitte Mania led the Huskies in their fourth place finish on Saturday afternoon at the CCSU Ted Owen Invitational at Stanley Quarter Park. UConn posted an overall time of 1:36:11 in Saturday’s 5K race.
Mania was the first Husky to cross the finish line with her sixth place finish in a time of 18:07, while sophomore Terra Briody was the next UConn runner to finish with a pace of 19:02 for 16th place.
Freshmen Katherin Vodopia and Laura Williamson put forth top-thirty performances finishing 26th (19:25) and 27th (19:26), respectively. The final UConn teammate was freshman Emily Howard ending the run in 20:11.
The Huskies will return to action on Saturday, September 28 at the Griak Invitational in Minneapolis, Minn. The University of Minnesota competition will begin at 1:10 p.m.
