BOSTON, Mass. – The UConn women’s cross country team turned in a top-20 finish at the New England Championships on Saturday afternoon.
Liz Lagoy paced all Huskies with a time of 19:27 to finish 73rd overall, while teammate Lauren Scahill turned in a 19:30 clip for a 77th overall finish. Alexandra Alsup rounded out UConn’s top-100 finishers with an 80th place finish and a time of 19:33.
Talia Staiger crossed the finished line next with a time of 19:49, while Mackenzie Pias was the last Husky runner to finish under 20 minutes with a time of 19:55.
Overall, UConn finished 16th out of 28 teams in the event. The Huskies are set to compete again next week in the Rothenburg Run in Warwick, R.I.
