STORRS, Conn. – On Saturday, Oct. 7 the UConn women’s cross country team will participate in the 105th Annual New England Championships at Franklin Park in Boston, Mass.
The women will race against 36 teams. The women’s varsity 5k race is scheduled to go off at 11:45 a.m.
The Huskies are coming off a top-20 finish at the Paul Short Run a week ago. Freshmen Brianna O’Brien and Mia Nahom turned in a 21:05 and 21:06 clip, respectively, leading all UConn runners on the day. Nahom has played a large part in the Huskies success this fall, as the rookie turned in the team's top times in the program's first place finishes at the Minuteman Invitation and UB Stampede Invitational earlier this season.
The results for the race will be posted on the NEICAAA website.
