A-Z UConn Football Game Day Information


AAAAA

  • Address/Telephone - The physical address and phone number for Rentschler Field is 615 Silver Lane, East Hartford, CT 06118, 860-610-4700.
  • Aisle Traffic/Section Entry - Guests are urged to arrive at their seats well in advance of kickoff. Guests should be prepared to display their ticket stub when requested by event staff or security.
  • Alcohol Policy - Guests who drink alcoholic beverages are asked to drink responsibly. Guests must be 21 years of age or older to purchase alcohol and must present valid identification. A limit of 1 beer per guest will be sold at one time and beer sales will be discontinued at the middle of the third quarter, or earlier, at Management's discretion.
  • ATMs - There are 3 People's United Bank ATMs located on the concourse at Gate B, Gate C, and Gate D.

  • Baby Changing/Nursing Mothers - All bathrooms are equipped with baby changing stations. There are 3 family bathrooms located on the concourse.
  • Bags - Backpacks and oversized handbags are not allowed in Rentschler Field.
  • Banners/Posters/Signs - Banners, posters, and signs are not permitted in Rentschler Field. You will be asked to return them to your vehicle or dispose of them upon entry.

  • Cameras - Video cameras and recording devices are strictly prohibited. Cameras are not permitted with lenses that exceed 90mm. Single-frame and flash photography are allowed.

  • Concessions - Full service concession stands are located around the stadium concourse. Concession services are managed by Sodexo.
  • Credit Cards - Credit cards are currently accepted at Rentschler Field concession stands. Credit cards are accepted at the Co-Op merchandise stands. Please refer to the ATM locations.

  • Directions
    • From the North - Take I-91 South towards Hartford to Exit 35A Route 291 South to I-84 West. Follow I-84 West to Exit 58, Roberts St/Silver Lane. On the exit ramp, turn left and continue over I-84 and straight through the Silver Lane intersection into Rentschler Field Main Gate.
    • From the South - Take I-91 North toward Hartford, to Exit 25, Route 3N. Merge left onto Route 3 North. Merge into left lane. Exit Route 3 North onto Route 2 West. Follow Route 2 West to Exit 5A Main St. Merge onto Main St. and continue straight through the Brewer St. intersection. Continue on Main St. and turn right into the Rentschler Field Willow St. Gate.
    • From the Southwest - Take either I-84 East or I-91 North. Follow directions above from the South. From Route 15 South take Exit 91 - Silver Lane towards Roberts St. Bear right onto Silver Lane to the Rentschler Field Main Gate or East Gate.
    • From the East - Via I-384: Take Route 6 West or Route 44 West to I-384 West. Follow I-384 West toward Manchester. Take Exit 1 - Spencer St. Turn left at end of exit ramp onto Spencer St. Follow Spencer St. onto Silver Lane in East Hartford. Follow Silver Lane to Rentschler Field East Gate.
      • Via I-84: Take I-84 West toward Hartford to Exit 58, Roberts St./Silver Lane. At the end of the exit ramp, turn left onto Roberts St. and follow to Silver Lane. Merge into one lane and continue straight through Silver Lane intersection into the Rentschler Field Main Gate.
    • From the Southeast - Take Route 2 West toward Hartford. Take Exit 5A, Main St. Merge onto Main St. and continue straight through the Brewer St. intersection. Continue on Main St. to the Rentschler Field Willow St. Gate.
    • From the West: Take I-84 East toward Hartford. Follow I-84 to Roberts St./Silver Lane. On the exit ramp, keep to the right and continue straight through the Silver Lane intersection into the Rentschler Field Main Gate.
  • Disabled Services - Guests with disabilities can utilize all gates. All restrooms and concession stands are accessible as well. To reach Tower accommodations, please proceed to either Elevator A or B just inside Gates A & B.

  • Elevators - Elevators are located at Gates A & B. The elevator at Gate A is for suite & club seating only.
  • Emergency Contact - To contact someone during the game in the event of an emergency, please call 860-610-4888. Public safety staff will be on hand to assist you.
  • Emergencies & Evacuation Procedures - Please follow the instructions of Event Staff & security in the case of an emergency.

  • First Aid Stations - Emergency medical treatment is available at the First Aid Room located by Gate B. Paramedics are provided by East Hartford Fire Department are located on the concourse level at Gates A, B, C, and D. For medical assistance notify the nearest Event Staff/Security Representatives.
  • Food & Beverage - No outside food & beverage is permitted into Rentschler Field.

  • Game Programs - Game programs can be found at the UConn Co-Op merchandise stands inside the 4 major gates.
  • Gates Open - The gates to the Stadium open 90 minutes before kick-off.
  • Guest Relations - The Guest Relations booth is located inside of Gate B. There is also a guest relations kiosk between Gates C and D.

  • Lost and Found - Lost and found items should be brought to Guest Relations located on the concourse level at Gate B. For information on lost items please call Rentschler Field at 860-610-4700.
  • Lost Persons - Please see Guest Relations located at Gate B.

MMMMM

  • Merchandise - There are Co-Op Merchandise stands at the 4 main gates on the concourse and in the Fan Fest area outside of Gate D. All major credit cards are accepted.

PPPPP

  • Parking - Season parking is permitted directly around Rentschler Field. Please follow appropriate signage and directions to those particular lots. Game day parking is located directly south and west of the Tower. Parking lots will open 4 hours prior to kick-off. The parking fee for UConn Football Games Rentschler Field is $12 for cars, $20 for RVs, and $30 for buses. Illegal parking on area roadways or streets will result in your vehicle being ticketed and towed. Overnight parking is not permitted. Laz Parking representatives are available onsite to assist with vehicle parking and problems.
  • Pets/Service Animals - Animals are not allowed inside Rentschler Stadium with the exception of service animals.
  • Playing Field - Guests may not enter the playing field at any time.
  • Prohibited Items - The following items are prohibited at Rentschler Field: umbrellas, coolers, outside food & beverage, thermos bottles, flasks, backpacks & oversized handbags, banners, signs & flags, horns & other noise makers, laser pointers, animals (except assistance animals), and weapons of any kind. Other items deemed by Management to be dangerous or inappropriate will also not be permitted and all items are subject to search.
  • Public Address Announcements - No appeals will be made over the Public Address system except under extraordinary circumstances. Please contact the nearest event staff/security personnel or Guest Relations located at Gate B for assistance.
  • Public Phones - Pay phones are located at Gates B & D.
  • Public Transportation/Taxi Services - Please contact Guest Relations at Gate B for assistance.

RRRRR

  • Radio Broadcasts - Radio broadcasting of UConn football games are on AM 1080 and WTIC.
  • Re-Entry - There is no re-entry to Rentschler Field. Persons leaving will not be readmitted. Medical emergencies will be handled at the Guest Relations booth at Gate B.
  • Restrooms - Are located throughout the concourse.

SSSSS

  • Seatback Chairs - Seatbacks are located in Sections 100-101, 120-122, and 141 in the Lower Bowl and in Sections 200-201, 223-225, and 242 in the Upper Bowl.
  • Security Checks - All bags, containers, or persons are subject to search.
  • Smoking Policy - Smoking prohibited at Rentschler Field. Please refrain from smoking in seating areas, concourse, and restrooms. Violation of this policy could result in ejection from Rentschler Field.

  • Tailgating - Tailgating is permitted at Rentschler Field. To ensure safety, comfort, and enjoyment, we ask that you adhere to the following guidelines:
    1. Day Games: Tailgating is permitted four (4) hours before and not more than two (2) hours after day games.
    2. Night Games: Tailgating is permitted four (4) hours before night games. Out of respect for residents near the Stadium, tailgating is not permitted after night games.
    3. To ensure that fans not miss a minute of the UConn Huskies in action, tailgating is not permitted once a game begins. Anyone remaining in the parking lots once a game begins must either enter the Stadium or leave the property.
    4. Please leave room for your fellow tailgaters - Tailgating activities should be confined to the area immediately adjacent to your vehicle. Grills, coolers, etc. should be set up in front of or behind your vehicle.
    5. Fans wishing to park together should enter the parking lots at the same time - Saving spaces for other vehicles is not permitted.
    6. Show your Husky colors - Canopies and flags are permitted with the exception of those requiring supports pounded into the ground.
    7. An "Oversized Vehicle" Lot is available for fans with motor homes or other oversized vehicles. These vehicles should not park in any other lots.
    8. Unauthorized use of handicapped parking spaces will not be tolerated.
    9. Keep that barbeque safe - No charcoal fires or open flames are permitted.
    10. Caterers, other than the official caterer of Rentschler Field, are not permitted on the property. The unauthorized sale of merchandise, food or beverage is prohibited.
    11. Ball playing and frisbee tossing in the parking lots and roadways are safety hazards and are not permitted.
    12. Portable rest rooms are available throughout the parking lots for your convenience.
    13. Alcohol is permitted in the parking lots, but please drink responsibly.
    14. Fans will not be allowed to enter the Stadium if they are visibly intoxicated.
    15. Kegs and drinking games are not permitted in the parking lots.
    16. Help keep Rentschler Field clean and green - Please utilize trash bags, trash receptacles and recycling bins available throughout the parking lots.
  • Ticket Policies - Rentschler Field gates will open admission 90 minutes prior to kickoff unless otherwise noted. All seating in Rentschler Field is reserved for guests holding valid tickets. Lost, stolen, or destroyed tickets will not be replaced. All UConn students must enter through Gate B and display appropriate and valid student ID and game ticket. New for 2009 - all rows in the 200 level begin with Row 1.
    • Tickets can be purchased by visiting UConnHuskies.com or by calling Ticketmaster at 1-800-745-3000.
    • Patrons who need accessible seats may contact the UConn Athletics Ticket Office, Monday - Friday, 9:00am-4:30pm at 877-AT-UCONN.
    • Gate A: Club and Suite ticket holders entrance only. Opens 2 hours prior to kickoff.
    • Gate B: General Will Call for pre-paid tickets purchased through the UConn Athletics Ticket Office or Ticketmaster. Photo ID and credit card on which the tickets are purchased are required. No third-party will call accepted. Opens 3 hours prior to kickoff and remains open until the start of the second half. Game day sales (if available) open 3 hours prior to kickoff.
    • Gate C: UConn player-guest entrance. Photo ID required. Opens 90 minutes prior to kickoff.
    • Gate D: Visiting team will call, high school coaches will call, and non-football recruits will call. Photo ID is required.

  • Visiting Team Fans - Visiting team fans are guest of Rentschler Stadium. Harassment of the visiting team or its fans will not be tolerated and may result in ejection of the offender.

  • Water Fountains - Water fountains are located on the walls of A & B and C & D.
  • Will Call - Will Call windows are located at Gate B. The Will Call window will open three hours prior to kickoff and remain open through intermission. If you are picking up tickets purchased in advance, you must present a photo ID and the credit card on which the tickets are purchased. There is no third party will call or alternate pickup accepted at the Rentschler Field Box Office.
