Scott Hazelton

At Connecticut: Second-year member of the program who redshirted as a freshman in 2000-2001 because of foot injury which required surgery in April of 2001... Has played in 37 career games, averaging 2.2 points and 1.7 rebounds.

As a Redshirt Freshman in 2001-2002: Appeared in 32 games, starting the game vs. Villanova on February 11... Averaged 2.4 points and 1.9 rebounds in 8.5 minutes of playing time per contest... Had a career-high ten points in the win over New Hampshire... Had eight points and four rebounds in the win over Virginia Tech on January 10.

As a Freshman in 2000-2001: Appeared in five games on the season... Missed the first six games with a foot injury and missed the remainder of the season with that same injury... Scored six points in a total of 11 minutes of play in his five appearances.

High School: Top 50 National High School recruit…McDonald’s All-American along with UConn teammate Taliek Brown…Averaged 28.8 points and 12.2 rebounds during his senior season at Central Catholic HS in Lawrence, MA before being sidelined with a stress fracture in his left foot (injured in mid-January 2000)…Averaged 30.1 points and 11 rebounds during his junior season in 1998-99, leading team to Division I state championship…Named Massachusetts Player of the Year in junior year…Attended Reading (MA) High School before transferring to Central Catholic.
