At Connecticut: Played two seasons at Connecticut…Only scholarship senior on the squad in 2001-02…Appeared in 64 career games, starting 41... Averaged 11.2 points and 5.8 rebounds in his career.

As a Senior in 2001-2002: Started each of his 33 games played, missing the game vs. Villanova on February 11 due to an ankle injury... No. 3 on the team in scoring at 11.4 points per game and No. 3 on the squad with 6.0 rebounds per contest... Reached double figures on 23 occasions... Had a season-high 21 points on 7-of-10 shooting on Senior Night win over Seton Hall... Had 20 points in the win over George Washington... Had four double-doubles on the year, including a 13-point, 11-rebound effort versus Hampton in the first round of the NCAA tournament.

As a Junior in 2000-2001: Played in 31 of 32 games, missing the game at Miami with an injured shoulder... Only played two minutes at Texas due to injury... Started eight contests... No. 3 on the team in scoring and rebounding at 10.9 points per game and 5.5 rebounds per contest... Scored in double figures 17 times on the season... Led the team with 32 blocked shots... Scored 12 points in NIT First Round win over South Carolina... Had 14 points in BIG EAST Tournament vs. Syracuse... Scored a career-high 26 points two times, first vs. Rhode Island on December 26 and then vs. St. John’s on January 6 when he was named the CBS Player of the Game... Also had a career-best six blocks in the win over St. John’s... Led the team in field goal percentage at 54.7%... Had four 20-point games and led the team in rebounding on six occasions.

Before UConn: National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) National Player of the Year…First Team Junior College All-American…Named to NJCAA All-Tournament Team in leading Southeastern (Iowa) Community College to Junior College National Championship…Final overall record of 34-4…Averaged 15.0 points, 10.0 rebounds, 2.5 blocks per game in 1999-2000…Scored 24 points and added 12 rebounds in national championship game 84-70 victory over Calhoun State (AL)...Averaged 13.0 points and 10.6 rebounds for Southeastern during 1998-99 season…Only junior college player in nation selected to try out for USA Basketball’s 20-and-under national team during summer of 2000…Named one of 16 finalists after four days of competition during which he was the top scorer among all 25 candidates.
