IN 2003: Hit .294 during the 2003 season where he saw action in 46 of the Huskies' 47 games … started 45 of those games … fourth on the team in hits with 50 and tied for second on the team in doubles with ten … had 14 multi-hit games and an eleven game hitting streak last season … enjoyed a five-game stretch where he went 8-for-20 with one homerun, 13 RBI and nine runs scored … best game of the season came against UMass (3/25) to spark that productive stretch, Leonard went 3-for-6 including one homer against the Minutemen, scored two runs and drove in five others … went 4-for-4 with four RBI, two doubles and two runs scored in the Huskies first end of a double-header at West Virginia (4/12) …  went 18-for-40 (.450) during his aforementioned eleven-game hitting streak with four doubles and a round-tripper en route to scoring ten runs and driving in nine … had 238 putouts and 34 assists against only five errors for a .982 fielding percentage.

IN 2002: Played in 46 games, with 43 of them behind the plate... led team in doubles with 16... second on the team in home runs with eight and total bases with 105... notched a slugging percentage of .561 along with 63 hits, which were fourth on the team... also fifth on the team in RBIs with 40... had 18 multiple hit games and 12 multiple RBI games... finished the season on a 20 game hitting streak... threw out 48 percent of the runners trying to steal... recorded four hits, four runs, four RBIs, along with a double and a homerun against Fairfield (4/23)... made 287 putouts and 48 assists, while fielding at a .982 mark.

IN 2001: Handled the bulk of the catching chores in the absence of Red Sox signee and 2000 captain Brian Esposito … played in 42 games, starting in all but one … managed to keep batting average around .300 much of the season and ended the year with a .297 average with two homers and 18 RBI … made 218 putouts and 29 assists.

HIGH SCHOOL: Graduated from Rockville High School … USA Today Honorable Mention honoree as a junior and a senior … Gatorade Player of the Year in the State of Connecticut … two-time All-State honoree … three-time All-League selection … captained the team during his junior and senior seasons … Hartford Courant Player of the Year in 2000 … twice named an American Legion All-Star … captain of the Class L state champions … Academic All-League during three years in high school … a National Honor Society member.
