2004 » sophomore season:
Started four games with 11 appearances overall ... recorded an 8.80 ERA with a
1-2 mark in 44.0 innings pitched ... struck out 36 batters while issuing 19
walks ... fanned a season-high six three times ... notched lone win of the
season in a start vs. Quinnipiac during which he had one earned run and three
strikeouts in 5.1 innings (4/22) ... closed out the season with a strong
performance vs. West Virginia, striking out four while scattering two hits and
not issuing a walk in five innings of relief (5/23).
2003 » freshman season:
Appeared in 11 games, starting his last eight games … notched a record of 2-3
and worked the third-most innings on the team at 54.1 … threw four innings of
no-hit ball in his second collegiate appearance at South Alabama (3/9), striking
out two and walking one … finshed third on the team in strikeouts with 45 …
earned his first collegiate win against BIG EAST foe Georgetown (3/22) ... went
six innings, allowing three earned runs and struck out four to garner the win
vs. the Hoyas … worked a season-high seven innings in his start against Boston
College, giving up two runs, scattering nine hits and striking out nine in
UConn’s 2-1 victory (4/17) … matched his career-high of nine strikeouts against
Pittsburgh (5/17).
