STORRS, Conn. (December 1, 2008) - STORRS, CONN. (December 1, 2008) – Gavin Edwards (Gilbert, Ariz.) scored a career-high 17 points and Hasheem Thabeet (Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania) dominated in the paint on both ends of the court as No. 2-ranked Connecticut handily defeated Delaware State, 79-49, Monday evening before a crowd of 9,734 at the Harry A. Gampel Pavilion.

Five Starters Reach Double Figures to Lead Men's Basketball Past Bryant

HARTFORD, Conn. (November 29, 2008) - Hasheem Thabeet (Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania) had 16 points and 12 rebounds to lead all five starters in double figure scoring as No. 2-ranked Connecticut overcame a sluggish start to defeat Bryant University in men’s basketball, 88-58, Saturday afternoon before a crowd of 12,558 at the XL Center.

(November 23, 2008) - Junior Hasheem Thabeet (Dar es Salaam, Tanzania) scored 19 points, grabbed 14 rebounds and blocked seven shots to lead the No. 2-ranked University of Connecticut men’s basketball team to a 76-63 win over No. 17 University of Miami Sunday night in the semifinals of the 2008 Paradise Jam at the University of the Virgin Islands Sports and Fitness Center.

ST. THOMAS, U.S.V.I. (November 21, 2008) - Senior Jeff Adrien scored 22 points and grabbed 14 rebounds, while freshman Kemba Walker (Bronx, N.Y.) scored 23 points off the bench to lead the No. 2 nationally-ranked University of Connecticut men’s basketball team to a 89-81 victory over La Salle University Friday in the opening round of the 2008 Paradise Jam at the University of the Virgin Islands Sports and Fitness Center.
