As a Freshman in 2006-07: Played in 17 games, averaging 6.5 minutes per contest with 17 blocks and 0.9 points and rebounds per game... Led team in blocks on three occasions, coming up with a career-high five vs. Coppin State... Had four points of 2-of-2 shooting vs. Providence... Scored four points and tallied three boards against Pittsburgh... Played a season-high 15 minutes with one rebound, block and steal against South Florida... Posted five blocks and nabbed a rebound in seven minutes against Coppin State... Saw 13 minutes of action against St. Mary’s (CA), putting up a team-leading four blocks to go with two points and rebounds... Saw first career minutes vs. Texas Southern, scoring two points and grabbing two rebounds.

 

Before UConn: As a post-graduate in 2005-06 at Hargrave Military Academy, he was an All-County Selection… He was an honorable mention McDonald's All-American… He was an honorable mention All-State performer… Voted Tip-Off team athlete of the month… He helped lead his team to a 28-2 record... As a senior in 2004-05, he averaged 11.2 points, 10.8 rebounds, and five blocks a game at Shiloh high school.
