A fifth-year senior who will serve as a team captain this fall as the likely starter at middle linebacker for the third consecutive year.

Career: Has played in 33 games with 22 starts…Boasts 202 career tackles, including 21 for a loss, both highs amongst active Huskies…Also has five career sacks…Six career interceptions and seven pass break-ups.

2006: Started all 12 games at linebacker and led UConn with 99 tackles, 45 of which were solos…Ranked second on the team with 9.5 TFLs and tied Darius Butler for the team lead with four interceptions…The four picks also tied for third in the BIG EAST…Remarkable for a seasonal team tackle leader, was UConn’s leading tackler for a game only once (nine at Syracuse on Nov. 18)…Intercepted a pass and made eight tackles at Louisville (Dec. 2) to close out the season…Had 10 stops against Cincinnati (Nov. 25), including a sack and two TFLs while also intercepting a pass…In addition to his nine tackles at Syracuse, also made a sack and forced a fumble…Made 12 tackles against West Virginia (Oct 20)…Had a season-high 13-tackle performance against Army (Oct. 14) while also intercepting a pass…Had four tackles, one for a loss, a pass break-up and a 39-yard interception return touchdown at Indiana (Sept. 23) to earn UConn’s defensive game ball…Hit double digits in tackles with 10, including 10 for a loss, against Wake Forest (Sept. 16)…Made nine stops, one of which was for a loss, on Opening Night against Rhode Island (Aug. 31).

2005: Stepped right into a starting role at weakside linebacker, starting 10 of UConn’s 11 games, missing only the Army (Oct. 1) contest due to a stinger…Led the team with 80 tackles on the year and ranked second on the squad with his 11 tackles for loss…Also had three sacks on the year, two interceptions, five pass break-ups and a forced fumble…Came on strong at the end of the year, leading UConn with both his 13 tackles in the win over USF (Nov. 26) and his 15 tackles the following week against Louisville (Dec. 3)…Had half a sack against the Cardinals while also contributing 1.5 tackles for loss and a forced fumble and PBU against the Bulls…Made six tackles, all solo, at Pittsburgh (Nov. 12), including a 12-yard sack…Had his second interception of the year at West Virginia (Nov. 2), part of a five tackle night…Made nine tackles and broke up a pass against Rutgers (Oct. 22)…Chipped in seven stops, one for a loss, an interception and two break-ups to UConn’s win over Syracuse (Oct. 7)…Of his nine tackles at Georgia Tech (Sept. 17), 2.5 were for a loss…Picked up UConn’s defensive game ball after an eight-tackle effort against Liberty (Sept. 10)…Had 2.5 TFLs in the season opener against Buffalo (Sept. 1), including a sack, with a pass break-up.

2004: Played in 11 of 12 games (missing Buffalo on Nov. 20) as a backup linebacker and special teams performer...Accumulated 23 tackles...Two biggest games were against Murray State (Sept. 4) and Army (Sept. 25) as he made seven stops in each contest, adding half of a TFL against the Racers in his collegiate debut, and a pass break-up against the Cadets…Made three tackles each in BIG EAST victories over Pittsburgh (Sept. 30) and Temple (Oct. 23).

2003: Redshirted.

High School: Named first-team Mid-Penn All-Conference at tight end and second-team All-Conference at linebacker...Participated in the East-West All-Star Game...Also played forward for 16-0 state championship basketball team and was named the MVP of the Slam Fest Tournament.
