AT CONNECTICUT: 2001 co-captain... A two-time All-American... Has made 69 starts in 69 games as a Husky... Totals 14 career goals and 11 career assists after three seasons on defense. AS A JUNIOR: 2000 Hermann Trophy Award winner... NSCAA First Team All-American... Named a Soccer America Collegiate MVP... NCAA College Cup Most Outstanding Defensive Player... NCAA College Cup All-Tournament Team... NSCAA All-New England... BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Year for second straight year... All-BIG EAST First Team for third consecutive season... Missouri Athletic Club Player of the Year candidate... Four-time BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week... Named to the Soccer America Team of the Week once....  Started in all 24 games in which he appeared, sitting out one contest due to yellow card accumulation... Was third on the team in scoring from his defensive position with six goals and four assists (16 pts.)... Scored two gamewinning goals including the gamewinner in the National Championship game vs. Creighton... AS A SOPHOMORE: Named 1999 BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Year and an All-BIG EAST First-Team selection... Named a Soccer America 1999 Collegiate MVP... Started in all 21 contests... Scored first career goal, the gamewinner,  in 1-0 overtime win over Pittsburgh... Tallied lone goal in UConn's first loss of the year versus Seton Hall... Had an assist in a 5-0 win over Syracuse... Named BIG EAST Rookie of the Week on 10/19... Anchored Husky defense which held opponents to only 13 goals in 21 games. IN HIGH SCHOOL: Played under head coach David Hughes at Cypress Falls High School in Houston, TX... 1997-98 Parade All-American... All-State and All-Region selection... As a senior, named Houston Chronicle Player of the Year... Holds the career assists record at Cypress Falls with 34 assists... Member and captain of the Region III Olympic Development Program Team... Played for the Houston Hurricanes Club Team under head coaches Glenn Davis and Tony Johnson... Member of the adidas ESP program. PERSONAL: Enrolled in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences...
